Jaipur
The state government has prepared to implement the Integrated AYUSH Policy-2025 in the state. For the first time, Electropathy, a medical system, is being included in the AYUSH medical streams. The main streams under AYUSH include Ayurveda, Homeopathy, Unani, and Siddha. With the growing demand and popularity of Electropathy in India and globally, the government has decided to include it in the AYUSH policy.

After the formation of a unified directorate for AYUSH systems in 2018, the Integrated AYUSH Policy is being introduced for the first time. The final draft of the policy has been prepared and is ready for implementation by May 2025. The AYUSH Board has approved the draft policy, which includes various provisions such as:
Integration of all recognized AYUSH systems,
Guidelines on education, research, and drug production,
Promotion of AYUSH tourism, etc.
Earlier in March 2021, a draft AYUSH policy was released, and now the revised version has been prepared.
Integration of Hospitals Where Two AYUSH Hospitals Exist
According to the policy, in places where more than one AYUSH hospital exists, efforts will be made to integrate them. Additionally, a Directorate of AYUSH Education will be established in Jaipur.
Opposition from Ayurvedic Experts
Secretary of International Ayurveda and Yoga Research Council, Dr. Vishwesh Agarwal, opposed the inclusion of Electropathy. He stated that Electropathy is not a recognized medical system and that including it in the AYUSH policy is not appropriate. He demanded that this policy be withdrawn and that only recognized systems be included. He further emphasized that this move will harm the reputation of Ayurveda both nationally and internationally.
Main Provisions of the Policy
Opening of AYUSH wellness centers and block-level hospitals at the village panchayat level,
Establishment of district-level AYUSH diagnostic laboratories,
Facilities like ICU, palliative care, cancer care, pain management, and mental health services at AYUSH hospitals,
Promotion of AYUSH-based nutrition and diet programs,
Guidelines for AYUSH drug production and research,
Digitalization of AYUSH services (E-AYUSH),
Promotion of medicinal plants and related industries,
Strengthening of the AYUSH education system with specific provisions for higher education and research,
Establishment of the AYUSH Education Directorate in Jaipur,
Promotion of AYUSH tourism with a focus on international standards.
